April 2/56  Way behind on notes (This is being written on the 4).  Clarke & Al Smith were driven over to Boggy Peak  in the Shakerley Mountains by the Capt for a days collecting, did not get back till mid afternoon and late for lunch.  Fenner & I overhauled all our material so far, and while doing it had a visit from the [[?Govenor]] a [[strikethrough]] young [[/strikethrough]] tall, slender, much reserved young may (I wanted to ask Oxford or Cambridge).  

He was much interested and took to read Nuttings Barbados Antigua Exped. account.  In afternoon went coll. on rocky point & adjacent shore, tide [[?]] etc. & got a good haul color noted [[?]] Capt got associated with anemone.
This is second species so associated, other were heavy bodies red & white splotched (spots) shrimp.  This one we take to be [[underlined]] Thor paschalis [[/underlined]]  We had early lunch before going collecting and stayed till near sun down, had to put away stuff by electric light.

April 3 was much of same in afternoon, in afternoon, color noted shrimp - Apr. 2 - kept alive from yesterdays catch.  [[?]] went to town in a.m. for hair cut.
