I want a colored lady to teach about four miles from this city at Oxen Run, Prince George Co. Md. She will have a very good boarding place near the school. The house is ready and scholars too. The house is a new one built last summer.

Very respectfully yours

I hope your Society will be able to help in keeping M. [[underlined]] Newton [[/underlined]] in the city. He is a very faithful man and while I am anxious that all the Societies should withdraw their [[underlined]] teachers [[/underlined]] from the Dist. of Col. I think under present circumstances they had best continue their support to M.N.

Very respectfully yours

I have a white man who will come down if you want him to teach. How soon will they be ready at the Pines just below Lawton? Don't you want a white teacher there as well as at Head of the Bay?

Very respectfully yours.
