[[underlined]] Groves Mrs. [[/underlined]]
I want your daughter to go to her school at "Cross Roads" St. Marys County, Md., next Tuesday morning. The stage in which she will go starts from the "Kimmit House" on C street just in the rear of the National Hotel at 8 o'clock in the morning. She will have to go that place with her baggage. I cannot send her. I will send you transportation by stage on Monday. She will stop at [[underlined]] Jack Dorseys [[/underlined]] house, a miller just this side of Chaptico, and he will see that she is taken care of and finds her school. He lives right on the stage road. I would like your daughter to call on Monday morning at my office.

Very respectfully yours,

Every thing is ready for the school This lady has taught for your society in this city two years and is well fitted for the position. I wish you to commission her at $20 00 per month. Will you do it? How about the other teachers for whom I have asked?

Janney Mr. R. M.

Dear Sir: I have four teachers in Calvert County. I have furnished them some 2d hand books, but they now want some slates, pencils, ink and writing books. If

the boats are running they should be sent to them from Baltimore. Could you give them any of these things? If not would you get them and send to the teachers if they send you the money, and if so how much money should they send for each article?

Very respectfully yours,

Your report of school is received but too late in the month to be of any use. I want you to send me your report on the 1st or by the 5th of each month; and I hope you will do this promptly in future, and make out a full report. I hope you will see to this Mr. C. I have a great deal of trouble to get reports from some schools. We help you to a building and expect you will report to us. I send you papers about the children. You see they cannot be found.

Very respectfully yours,

How about that teacher for [[blank]] I sent. Cannot you let me have [[blank]] How about teachers salaries do you pay them direct from N.Y. or do you want me to attend to that, and what reports do you want of the school? I will send you a consolidated one each month on Bureau blanks if you wish. —

I want more teachers very much; don't know what we shall do if you don't help us. I know that every Society teacher should be withdrawn from this Dist. or rather their support. The teachers should remain.

Very respectfully yours
