Doctor: Only one teacher has come - [[underlined]] Smith [[/underlined]] whom I have sent to Pisgah.

How about the houses being built? Hope you will have them done very soon. As soon as the one is done near Havilands we will get a salary of $20 per month paid to Miss H. if the colored people will pay her board. I am afraid that the house at Benedict is not coming on well.

Will try to send more teachers very soon.

Respectfully yours
