Dear Sir:
I return your deed for land at Summit Bridge. Genl. Howard will agree to pay bills according to your request, to the amount of $245.87, on the completion of that house, if the people will have it done by the middle of December 1868. I hope to see you this week. I cannot act upon applications for material in other places until the deeds are forwarded, or copies of the same.

Very Respectfully Yours.

Supt. of Education.

P.S. I suppose you are satisfied that the trustees of the "Union A. Church," can give a good deed to these trustees. We have had great trouble about this in some places. I think you would do well to submit this question to Mr. [[underlined]] Harrington. [[/underlined]] We do not want to aid in building a house where the title is not good.
