Major: The people of Summit Bridge New Castle Co. Delaware have obtained a lot of ground for a school-house (the deed for which I have), and have applied through [[underlined]] Samuel Woolman [[/underlined]] Actuary of the Del Association, for the enclosed bill of material to build a school-house thereon. I recommend that we promise to pay this bill of material amounting to $245.81 on the completion of the house if such completion shall be made by the middle of December 1868. Howard will agree to pay bills according to your request, to the amount of $245.87, on the completion of that house, if the people will have it done by the middle of December 1868. We have had great trouble about this in some places. I think you would do well to submit this question to Mr. [[underlined]] Harrington.
