I shall send a load of furniture for the school house on Friday of this week to your care.  Will you let the driver put it in the house, and let the people put up the stove, and put the house in order for the school to commence next Monday.
A colored woman will be over to commence the school at that time.

I am sorry for the trouble you had in getting to your place, but you must be brave and look on the bright side.  I send you rules, and register and blank.  You will send to Mr. [[underlined]] Core [[/underlined]] cor. Courtland and Saratoga Sts. for needed books as they are best obtained at Baltimore.  Tell the people they must get you a black-board.  It is very easy to make one.  The people have to buy maps &c.  Start the night school as soon as you can.  Send report of night and day school on separate Blanks.

The other books go from Mr. [[underlined]] Ballantyne's [[/underlined]] with price list.  I cannot send ink or charts.  The people must make black-boards.  Desks I cannot send, but they can have more benches by sending for them.  The package is sent to you at Forestville, care of [[underlined]] Wm. J. Niles.
