Dear Sir:

Genl. [[underlined]] C. H. Howard [[/underlined]] says teaching is a missionary work which we have all done. If you would take the Port Tobacco school at $35.00 per month from us and as much more as you can get from the colored people, we will be glad to help you that much.

Dr. W. I write this as Genl. H. dictates. Please reply.

Very Respectfully, Yours

her school as she is bound to do. I have not received a report from her yet, and I understand from some parties that she is not getting on well. I expect to visit the place soon, and until then should like to hold back the extra supply for her.

I am going North to-night, and shall try to see you and Col. [[underlined]] Corson [[/underlined]] on my way through Philadelphia. As the books have not come to hand I cannot attend to their distribution until my return, which will be before the 1st of January.

[[underlined]] A. K. Brown [[/underlined]] Esq., our lawyer, wants your affidavit about the trunk. Are you not coming in town this week or next? If so wish you would write him the day and the hour when you will call at his office, on 4 1/2 St. east side, just in front of the City Hall. Then he will be there so to meet you. I expect to be away North a week.

Dear Sir:

I am not particular about the deed if you will give me the names of the School Commissioners, and the size, bounds and location of the lot. We need that in order to give you what the Government has put in the building. I also want each month a report of the school for general information, and think you will not object to giving it, or having the teacher.

Very Respectfully, Yours
