Dear Sir:

I wrote you Nov. 28th to please inform me each month how much the schools have cost, (1) the Bureau, (2) Societies, (3) Freedmen, (4) School Boards:
if the school boards do anything? I don't know as they do in your State. I have to [[strikethrough]] be correct [[/strikethrough]] report these items, and cannot be correct unless you give it me.

Genl. [[underlined]] H. [[/underlined]] is writing, or has written, friend [[underlined]] Hillis, [[/underlined]] about meeting with Gov. [[underlined]] S. [[/underlined]]

Very Respectfully, Yours

Dear Sir:

I think I can get you some help from the Pa. F. R. Asso., if you need it in order to make your school larger, or better. How are you getting on?
Where do you hold the school? How much money do you receive? Write me, and send your report every month, and I will see what can be done.

Very Respectfully, Yours
