Dear Sir:

I will send the two boxes directed to me. You say "send boxes with Miss [[underlined]] Howell's [[/underlined]] where they will do good."
I have no knowledge of a box for Miss [[underlined]] Howell. [[/underlined]] Did you send one here, which haws not gone to her?

I enclose a check for Miss [[underlined]] Howell. [[/underlined]] Please give it her. I have not been able to reach her by letter, or to get answers. Cannot the white lady you wrote about take Miss [[underlined]] Howell's [[/underlined]] place? I will get transportation, if she says the place is open, and you will send name. I want that school to go on.

Very Respectfully, Yours

Dear Sir:

I have been away: and since my return have been trying to get some information about that building. I think it can be bought, and am in favor of selling it now. I advise you to make an offer for it. Write me what you will give.

Very Respectfully, Yours
