Dear Sir:

I expect to be at Martinsburg on Sunday, but I am so nearly sick that I hope you will not give me anything to do. On Monday I intend to go to Cumberland. Shall try to communicate with Frostburg and Hancock. Can't say certain if I will be back so as to go with you on Tuesday to Pleasant Valley, but will try. Then I want to go to Hagerstown, Clear Springs and Williamsport. At Sharpsburg we are about starting a school.
Then I want to stop at new Market on my way home. You see this is a trip where I cannot send the notices ahead very well. Why cannot you preach at Martinsburg on Sunday. Then we can talk over matters. I will try to let you know the train I will come on.

Very Respectfully, Yours,

Dear Sir:

I have a few colored men that I am sending out to teach colored schools,
this summer. I want to place one at Point of Rocks, if the people will get up a good school and pay his board. Will you see if they would like a teacher on these terms, and let me know immediately? and if he comes what route should he take?

Very Respectfully, Yours,

Dear Sir:

I have a first rate colored man, student from Lincoln University,,
that I can send to Hendon Hill, for a summer school, if the people will pay his board, and get up a good school. He is one of about forty,
I am sending out. I want to send him right away. Cannot you find out for me if the people want him? and thus help the cause and oblige?
