Dear Sir:

At the Howard University school, it will cost for a term of 12 weeks, for tuition $3.00, board $36.00, room rent $3.00, total $42.00. One must be able to read, write and spell: also have pursued to a greater or less extent, the common English brands Arithmetic, Grammar and Geography, in Intermediate text books. I think your son could probably enter.

Please send me that letter which you had written me about the school-house, and which I read in your office, or one like it asking for $100. help.

Very Respectfully, Yours,
