I have sent for a very fine colored man to teach a summer school three months.  I suppose he is already at

your fathers;  if not he will be in a day or two.  He is a student of Lincoln College, and is out for vacation.  I hope the people will receive him gladly;  pay his board and get up a good school.

I shall be home, corner 7th & O Sts., nearly every evening, but away in the country Saturday and Sunday.

I am sorry you do not take a teacher for the summer, and have small scholars come.  You must have forty (40) such children in your place I should think who cannot do much.  I will try to send you a teacher in the fall, but am not certain.  It is much harder getting teachers in the winter than summer.
