you will do well to pay him $60.00 for time employed. I would thus reckon it $10.00 per month, as he has taught six months. Will you forward [[strikethrough]] to [[/strikethrough]] for him this amount if you think as I do? He will be here hoping to get this amount the first of next week.

Very Respectfully, Yours,

I find he is on your list to the Bureau as far back as January. You have not paid him anything. He is now in my office wanting money. Hope you will send $60.00 for him Monday morning.

Dear Sir:

What about Annapolis for next year? I have two lady friends in Bath, Me. who want to teach. I would like them there, and believe they would do first rate. I now have a letter about places for them which I must answer soon.
what do you say? shall they have Annapolis?

Dear Sir:

There was due at the end of November to Miss [[underlined]] Anderson [[/underlined]] $24.62, and since that time according to her account, $20.00 per month for seven months - $140.00 + $24.62 = $164.62

She was paid by you | $40.00
" " " " " [[dittos for She was paid by you]] | 4.62
" " " " " [[dittos for She was paid by you]] | 20.00
" " " " " [[dittos for She was paid by you]] | 20.00
" " " " " [[dittos for She was paid by you]] | 20.00
$164.62 - | $104.62 = $60.00 balance due

I wrote you why I did not put her name on the list. Did not know where she was. Have no reports from her. How about [[underlined]] Weems' [[/underlined]] salary? He has been here and gone away disappointed.

Very Respectfully, Yours,
