Col:

No more transportation will be furnished to teachers to or from their fields, by the Bureau.  So I am ordered to report.  The expense of making out papers for the same has caused the verdict, [[underlined]] Genl. Howard [[/underlined]] has found the business to expensive.

Dear Sir:

I have written the Trustees and [[underlined]] Mr. McGrath [[/underlined]] that [[underlined]] Judge Bond [[/underlined]] and I expect to be at Princess Anne's, one week from today, Wednesday, Aug. 18th.  We shall come up from Chrisfield in the morning, and go back to Washington in the afternoon;  so the meeting will be in the day time.  I want you with them to see that a wide notice is given, and a large meeting gathered.  We expect to hold a meeting at Henderson the next day.  Let all know whom you meet.
