[[underlined]] Brown Mr A S [[/underlined]]

Dear Sir: I return the deed which will not do. The Trustees cannot deed away a part of the Church property. If the people will buy a lot of ground; say one half of an acre, not Church ground, and deed it after a form which I send, and have the deed properly witnessed, and recorded, and agree to put up a house after the plan which I send, and have the same done this summer; then I will agree, that, we will aid to the amount of $200.00, and furnish the same when the house is completed. People should get up School Society.

Respectfully Yours

[[underlined]] Hall Miss [[/underlined]]

Dear Miss: I expect the Bureau will build another schoolhouse at Perry farm, or put an addition to a private house. We shall not sustain teachers nor pay transportation, but expect the Commission and Societies to do so. I understand the [[underlined]] Commission [[/underlined]] will sustain three (3) teachers at Perry farm. I hope you will be one of them. Do not think anything is now being done as to the appointment of teachers.

Respectfully Yours
