76 Bureau R.F. and A.L. Office Supt. Education, D.C. &c Washington, Sept. 8th 1869. [[underlined]] Gillett Mr. R. H. [[/underlined]] Dear Sir: We are not able to employ an Agent your way. If we were, I know of no one I would like better than yourself. We shall be able to help somewhat in building houses, but not more than $200.00 in a place. If the people of Newtown or any other place want help, and will buy land, and build after our plan sent from his Office; we shall be able to help to that amount. I expect to leave soon for California. Very Respectfully Yours, [[signature]] J Kimball [[/signature]] Supt. Education. [[line across page]] 77 Bureau R.F. and A.L. Office Supt.
