Dear Miss:

I wish to employ you for the [[underlined]] Pa. Asso. [[/underlined]] to teach school at Woodville, Prince George Co., Md.
Your school is to begin 1st Monday in Oct. Your salary $20.00 per month, and board paid by the people. You will pay your transportation to the place, and the Society will pay it home. [[underlined]] Miss Gordon [[/underlined]] your friend who taught there last year will tell you about the place, and people, and the proper way to get there. You can go by stage from this place and by the Patuxent river boat from Baltimore, very near the place. [[underlined]] Miss G. [[/underlined]] will tell you, and can best arrange to have some one meet you.

Respectfully Yours,

Dear Sir:

We intend to aid you $100.00, but it is for 25 Lopers desks, which you said you thought you could get for $4.00 each. Understand I do not object to your bill if it really got the desks to the school, paid for.

It is understood by [[underlined]] Genl. Whittlesey, [[/underlined]] A. A. A. Genl., that indirectly we aid to furnish desks. We are not able directly to pay for school furniture.

Respectfully Yours,
(Sgd.) John Kimball,
Supt. Education.

I do not know but that you already have it with others. He has done a most excellent work, and if he is willing to continue, I hope you will retain him. I was at the closing of the school, and young and old wept as if their hearts would break. [[underlined]] Roberson [[/underlined]] at Friendship wants to stay, and I hope you will keep him.

Dear Miss:

I have a letter from [[underlined]] Mrs. Lowell [[/underlined]] saying they will send you out. I wish you to go to Barnesville, Montgomery Co., Md. I was intending to send [[underlined]] Miss York [[/underlined]] there, but am glad she is going back to Great Mills. [[underlined]] Miss West [[/underlined]] from your place will be a few miles from you, and a [[underlined]] Miss Morris [[/underlined]] from Providence R.I. not far away. I think you will enjoy being near each other.

You will have to come here, and go by stage to Rockville, thence to Poolsville, where a friend will take you in his charge to Barnesville. You can go from here Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday. You had better come so as to go up by the Rockville stage, which starts from Seaton House at 8 o'clock, Saturday morning. I wish to see you as you go through.

Respectfully Yours,
(Sgd.) John Kimball,
Supt. Education.

Dear Madam:

I have written [[underlined]] Miss Kelley [[/underlined]] today to come to Barnesville, Montgomery Co. Md., where she will be near a lady teacher from her own city, and will have a good school. Sorry I cannot place her near [[underlined]] Miss York, [[/underlined]] whom you tell me is going back to Great Mills, for which I am glad. Cannot you give us more help in Md., for we need it very much, and will be very thankful for it.
