Dear Miss:

Will you support Miss [[underlined]] Fletcher [[/underlined]] or some one else, at Bladensburg, and will you aid us with more teachers.

We are only asking the Societies to give $10.00 per mo. to the teachers, and their transportation one way. The people will pay the board, and the Bureau by way of rent $10.00 per mo., and the teachers their own transportation one way.
We need your help very much.

Very Respectfully, Yours,
(Sgd.) John Kimball,
Supt. Education.

Dear Miss:

I hereby give you the appointment as teacher of school above [[?Chaptied]], at such place as the Trustees shall provide. Your salary to be $15.00 per mo., and your board paid by the people. The understanding is that you will have as large school to commence the 1st Monday in Oct.; and the people will go on to build a school house which shall be worthy of them, out of the Government lumber furnished long ago. Does Mr. [[underlined]] Gould [[/underlined]] remain at Oakville? Please ask him to write me. The society will be willing to have him stay, if he is yet there, and wishes so to do.

Respectfully Yours,
