I will give you the school at Emmittsburg, Fredrick Co., Md.  Salary $20.00, and board, which will be furnished by the people, but you will have to pay your transportation to the place, and the Society will pay it home next July.  You can go to Gettysburg, Pa. by R.R., thence about 8 miles by stage, I presume.  I wish the school to begin next Monday, if possible.  [[underlined]] Mr. Joseph Hays [[/underlined]] will help you to get started in the school.  If you go let me know at once, or if you do not go.

Allen, [[/underlined]] 1224 Canby St., Philadelphia, is going to Woodville, and it would be well for you two, to come to your places at the same time.  You will report to [[underlined]] Miss Aurora Weems, [[/underlined]] who will see that you get started in your school.

You will be required to pay your own way on.  The Society will pay it home next July.

Salary will be $20.00 per mo. and board.  Let me know when you come.  I wish the school to begin next Monday.
