Dear Sir:

I enclose a letter to a colored lady, at Philadelphia, whom I propose to send to Handon Hall. If the directions are not right please add them in the letter. If you think they do not want such a teacher, please return it (letter) to me. She is very well recommended. If all is right, please put the letter in the mail, and she will come on. It is almost impossible to get a man to teach.

Respectfully Yours,
(Sgd.) John Kimball,
Supt. Education.

P.S. I do not to whom to direct her to report, nor do I know that Magnolia is the best place to come to, or right train to meet the stage.
