soon find some of the Trustees. I do not know their names. I have had a colored man, student of [[underlined]] Lincoln University [[/underlined]] teaching there during summer. He writes that the people have been much interested, and that the school ought to go on. Let me know as soon as you reach the field.

Respectfully Yours,
(Sgd.) John Kimball,

Friend King:

Some of your students will know about [[underlined]] I. G. Jones. [[/underlined]] He is owing for books $6 01/100. Will you be kind enough to institute some inquiries, and try to help me to find out where he is. Or if he is with you send him up, and oblige,

Dear Sir:

This is to introduce to you [[underlined]] Mr. Wm. H. Harris, [[/underlined]] who comes to teach your school. You will pay his board, and the incidental expenses of the school. I will see that his salary is paid.

I expect him to have a night school, for the instruction of grown persons, a part of the time. You will make up a large day school, and improve the opportunity. I wish you to report from time to time the progress of the school at the office.

Respectfully Yours,

[[underlined]] Snowden Mr. T. B. [[/underlined]]

Dear Sir:

I return you the deed. It should be read where I marked in pencil, "and their successors". Then you should have it recorded, and advise me of the fact. This being done, I wish you to apply to me in writing for $200 00/100, the amount promised you, I think to aid in in erecting said house. State the condition of things &c.

Respectfully Yours,
(Sgd.) John Kimball,

N.B. I wish you to make this application immediately, as I expect to go away.

[[underlined]] Alexander Miss. [[/underlined]]

Dear Miss:

Write to me for books, stating just what you want, and where, and in what way you want them sent. The books will be charged to you, and you will sell them to the scholars; and do not order what you cannot sell. The books will come to you from [[underlined]] Cushings and Bailey, [[/underlined]] Baltimore, and if you have a way to send for the, that will be better.

Send to me, and I will give an order on [[underlined]] Cushings and Bailey [[/underlined]] to you, which order will procure the books. I send you Register and Blanks. You furnish your own stamps.

Respectfully Yours,
(Sgd.) John Kimball,
Supt. Education.
