Dear Madam:

I write you in reply to your letter to [[underlined]] Col. Corson [[/underlined]] of Philadelphia. I will give you a school at Oakville, St. Marys Co., Md. Salary $20.00 per month and board. You will have to pay your own way to the place. The Society will pay it home next July

You will come to the City and take the Potomac Steamer to the nearest landing, or else take Pautuxent Steamer from Baltimore. Your best way is, if you decide to come, to write to [[underlined]] Augustus Brown [[/underlined]], Trustee at Oakville, Asking him to write you the best way to come and arrange with him to meet you. I cannot give your daughter a place with you, but probably she may get a place by applying to [[underlined]] Col. Corson, [[/underlined]] though not certain

Respectfully Yours

Dear Sir:

Sorry that Miss Adger is sick, and hope she is not sick of the place. If you think he will do, please send [[underlined]] Cornelius T. Anderson [[/underlined]] in her place. Forktown is a place that should be occupied. Andersons address is 221 Prosperous Alley. Please inform me, if you send him. I did not send Allen as I supposed he was a white man. If colored shall be glad to get him, and have him go to Pomonkey, Chas. Co., Md. He will come here and go any day by boat to Glymont, and report to [[underlined]] Henry Dascher, [[/underlined]] Trustee, who
