He seemed willing to go to this place, and said he would write on his arrival there. He has probably returned to New York. I furnished [[underlined]] Payne [[/underlined]] and his friend with school-register and blanks, and forwarded them to all the other teachers, with letters on the 26th ult., with the exception of Miss [[underlined]] Richards, [[/underlined]] whom I supposed had left.
