This Bureau is not aiding now in building or repairing school houses.  You must urge the people to take hold of this matter and put their house in order.

You can order books of Messrs [[underlined]] Cushings and Bailey, [[/underlined]] 260 Baltimore St. Baltimore.  They will send them according to your directions, and at your risk.  They will also hold me responsible for the bill which I shall pay and deduct the amount from your salary.  You must sell these books to your pupils or their parents, at a price sufficient to cover all expenses.  You must also enclose this letter with your order for the books.
