Dr Sir:

[[underlined]] Jenkins [[/underlined]] was to have been here last Saturday. Do you know whether he has gone to Milestown?

Has Miss [[underlined]] Johnson [[/underlined]] concluded to go to Tracys landing? I saw a gentleman from Spencerville yesterday, and he confirmed my idea that a schooll could not be raised there.

Very Respectfully,
Bvt. Maj., and Supt. Education.

Dr Sir:

I will see if I can get that letter of [[underlined]] Cushings and Bailey [[/underlined]] into this. [[underlined]] Swan [[/underlined]] seems to understand matters now, and I think will collect the money. I wrote him a letter to read to his scholars and their parents.

[[underlined]] Gainey [[/underlined]] I judge from his reports is a very poor teacher. He ought to have a large school at Berlin.

Very Respectfully,
Bvt. Maj., and Supt. Education.

Dr Sir:

I sent [[underlined]] Douglass [[/underlined]] to [[underlined]] Philadelphia [[/underlined]] last night. He is utterly worthless, and has not kept school more than ten days since he was commissioned. I cannot tell anything about his pay until Mr. Crosby comes back.

Yours &c.,
