Supt. of Education [[/underlined]] approved for $1540. I enclose herewith a copy of an endorsement to [[underlined]] Mr. Manly, Supt. of Education [[/underlined]] for Virginia which exactly meets the question you raise I am trying to get some teachers now and hope to have them in the field by the last of this month. Under the instructions of the Com. I cannot approve accounts unless I have reports from the schools. I have no report from the [[underlined]] Washington Schools [[/underlined]], except from [[underlined]] Mr. King [[/underlined]] for 1 school. Please direct [[underlined]] Mr. Howe [[/underlined]] and [[underlined]] Mr. Payne [[/underlined]] to make their reports to me as they are on the schedule and I can then approve and forward the vouchers.
