Dear Sir:

I dont think there is anything due [[underlined]] Douglas. [[/underlined]] He certainly had no authority for remaining after the holidays, unless he was sure of thirty pupils. He did not teach more than a month and a half before that; and he has received $30.00 of which you paid $25.00, and $5.00 were paid him here to enable him to reach home. I am compelled to leave for five or six days. Will send you a list as soon as I return.

Very Respectfully, Yours,
W. L. Vanderlip.
