Dear Sir;

I wrote to Price, as you suggested, and offered him the school at Pisgah, and requested him to reply at once whether he would accept or not. Have not heard from him yet. There is a good female teacher here who wants the school. Miss R. L. Alexander has also applied for it, and I have answered that the place is engaged but there will probably be another vacancy soon. If Price calls on you please write me what he will do.

Very Respectfully, Yours
J. Q. Crosby
Clerk.

Dear Sir,

I learn that Hunter Harden, one of your teachers at Island Creek Co. Md. intends to close his school on the 31st inst. as the term for which he was employed expires on that date. He reports regularly to this office, has an average attendance of about seventy-five pupils; and the people are very desirous to have him remain until the first of July. He is willing to continue the school, and I hope you will authorize him to do so.

Very Respectfully, Yours
