Wilson's Primary Readers are used in several of our schools. I wish they were used in all. For the sake of uniformity our Association of Teachers and [[?]] advised last year the use of another series. I learned yesterday that the teachers of one large school [[strikethrough]] had ]/strikethrough]] have returned to Wilson's, though obliged to purchase the books at their own expense. Their reason, as stated to me is there is no sense in the reading of the other books, while Wilson's fill the mind with useful ideas. Most of our schools are not advanced enough for the higher readers, but I am convinced from thorough personal examination that they are the most original & instructive school readers I have ever seen. I think good teachers will have no difficulty in interesting intelligent pupils in the most scientific portions of the Books.
