Supt of Freedmens [[Village?]] Co
  Sir
Rev Father Wigett, of this city, called on Genl Howard yesterday, and said that Revd Father De Wolf would carry on a school for Freedmen near Leonardtown if we would provide a Building. Do you think the school is needed & that the Building could be provided without too much expense. The Genl requested me to write you.
How about the N J Friends School. I have had no report. Will you send one for this month. I send Blanks.
            Very respectfully
                John Kimball
                Supt of Schools
