I am very glad Washington has been so successful.  Please get Mr [[N?]] to deed the lot to the school Board, for a public free Colored School, and then get Dr Wilmer to allow the money due to go toward the building of the House & have the Colored people take hold & raise what money they can.  Enough to haul the lumber from the wharf & [[strikethrough]] be [[/strikethrough]] complete the building &
we will send on the lumber.  Whenever you want it.  You had best let me know the best boat to send on. & wharf to land at.
