Friend Janney,

We do not send ready made Desks, but have given lumber to make desks of, and a plan of Desk to go by.  I think Gnl Howard has promised that at Brighton.

I am about sending in white man to Blue Marsh.  He has a friend, a young man, who I thought might take the school at Brighton, & so they be near together.  The gentleman is coming on this week & has written that the young man is coming with him. (though I had not sent for the young man).  Would it not be well to put the lady somewhere else & let the two take the field.  Please write me what you
