April 18th

Mr. John Cajoy.
Leonardtown, Md.

Dear Sir:
Yours of the 5th inst. was accidentally mislaid, and has just come to hand. I am glad to learn that your school is progressing, and that so much interest is manifested by your pupils and their parents.

It makes little difference in what company the trustees have their school-house insured. I would recommend them to employ any agent who insures property in their vicinity, and whom they know to be a responsible man.

I am not informed that the present State Legislature has taken any action in relation to the school law.

Very Respectfully, Yours,
W. L. VanDerlip
Bvt.Maj & Supt. of Education
