Mr. J. L. Jenkins,
Milestown, Md.

Dear Sir:
Yours of the 2d inst. is at hand. I am not prepared at present to promise teachers situations for the fall term, but I think there is no doubt that you can return and take the school in October, providing the people of the place desire it, and you can get up a good school, with an average of not less than thirty pupils.

Very Respectfully, Yours,
W. L. Van Derlip
Bvt. Maj. & Supt. of Education
