Miss Sarah V. Richards,
Barnesville, Md.

Miss:
I wrote Mr. Aukard that I might be able to send a teacher to Barnesville sometime next month providing that the people could keep up a school with an average attendance of not less than thirty pupils. Of course, it is always understood, that the people are to pay the teacher's board and incidental expenses of the school. From what you state there seems to be little hope that the people will comply with our conditions, and I want you to inform them that we can send out teachers on no other terms.

I enclose the letters you sent.
