the attendance had been small, but the trustees stated that the number of pupils was increasing, that it would be more convenient for the people to send their children in the summer &c.

We were induced at that time to give some encouragement to parties who desire a summer term, from the fact that there are many pupils in the normal schools of this city who are anxious to teach during their vacation of three months, commencing about the middle or latter part of June. At present, however, no arrangements are in progress for sending out teachers for the summer.
