Tampa Bay Fla. May 15. 1850

Sir,
I am informed (thru Maj. Gen. Triggs) that you have in your possession
(3) Three stray ponies - 1 grey mare 1 bay mare 1 bay horse/pony---------- belonging to the Seminole Indians, said ponies having been caught on this side of the Boundary

It is my duty, in behalf of the owners, to ask them from you, and if you will deliver them here or at any point more convenient for you, I will received them and pay a reasonable reward.

The Indians have brought and delivered up animals belonging to our people which had wandered across the line, and I trust_ while we are at peace that we may be as just as they.

Your obedt serv
