Dr. Walbridge, I have now, I fear, all the testimony that can be procured from white people about the lost boy. The shirt sleeve found in the Ind. town is [[underline]] not [[/underline]] the boy's. Mr. Silver, who has been to Tumner's, will hand to you a piece of stuff like the shirt worn by the boy - also stuff like his pants & a suspender like those worn
by him, and a brass button like those on his pants.

"The saddle, bridle &cc. are thus described by Mr Tumner - "saddle - dragon pattern, hon.(or pommel?) broken off - the top quilted "home tanned leather- the stirrups kind is as ours. Under the "saddle were two blankets - one a large dark [[?white]], and the other "a dark grey with red stripes. The bridle was [[?leather]] with a snaffle "bit, the headstall fastened on the top with a large brass "buckle"

This description will enable you to identify the articles should they com in with the two horses and mule as is probable, and if the animals are brot in without equipment cause the camp of the party to be visited, if possible, by [[?]] or some trusty person.

Should you identify any of these articles in the possession of any "outsider", and should Echo Emathle I. and [[? Okehan Zack]] be in at Ft. Myers - seize & iron them & all their people - and inform any other Indians of the Nation's people - not outsiders - why it is done
If only [[underline]] one [[/underline]] of these chiefs should be in, seize him, provided you can get 5 of the outsiders with him
Then inform the Captains that they will be held responsible for the boy - [[?let]] them send now by any Indian - not an outsider - to their people to bring the boy in to Ft Meade or Myers at once.
I believe the Indians took the boy & that his is now alive, unless killed very lately, or dead from exposure & illness
Of course, make no mention of the saddle & yr knowledge of it - even to Bowlegs or any one.
If [[underline]] Sam Jones [[/underline]] has actually gone to visit the outsiders, I

hope he may restore the boy.
I hear that outsiders have been in the Withlachoochee within 3 or 4 weeks.
Very truly Yrs

Sir. I have the honor to transmit herewith copies of depositions relating to the abduction, or loss, of a white boy (Daniel Hubbard) from the neighborhood of Mr. Jesse C. Tumner's residence in Marion Co. on Aug 6th.

No positive evidence of the boy's fate is yet procured, nor have I yet been able to find among the Indians, any of the clothing of the boy, or of the horse equipments last with him.
There is no reason to believe any of the many rumors of certain white people having removed the boy, which were circulated soon after his disappearance. The [[? trumped]] rumors is fully [[?]] by depositions No 4 - herewith
In my [[?memorandum]] No 4 of October 30, I stated that I believed "the chief knew nothing of" the boy & still believe so under these circumstances. I can only hope to find out the truth by closely watching the Indians, especially the outsiders, who are now moving within their limits, and who visit Fort Myers. Should I find any of the missing articles on them I shall at once carry out the measures indicated in my letter of Oct 30 unless otherwise ordered.
Very respectfully
Your obedt servt
