REPORT ON THE DEPARTMENT OF OOLOGY IN THE U.S. NATIONAL MUSEUM, 1893.

The most important contributions to the collection during the fiscal year, ending June 30, 1893, are/:--

From Dr. Wm. L. Ralph, 26 Court Street, Utica, N.Y.,
An exceedingly valuable collection of eggs, among them fine series of several species new to the collection and the greater portion being special deside[[strikethrough]] v[[/strikethrough]]ata, consisting of four hundred and twenty (420) sets of eggs, representing one hundred and sixty-one (161) species, and sixteen hundred and four, (1604) specimens, all beautifully prepared.
Accompanying these eggs are thirty-seven (37) nests in an excellent state of preservation.

From the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Biological Exploration, Dr. C. Hart Merriam in charge,
A collection consisting of nine (9) sets, thirty (30) specimens andtwo (2) nests.
