Anderson has reported there from Forktown without authority to close his school for such purpose. Desires to know something of the school before returning him. Wishes information from Supt.

2, 3,'70 # 16 * | Adams Geo. E | Centerville Queen Anne Co. Md. February 1st,1870 Writes in regard to the school's prosperity both day and night, and regrets the inconveniences under which they labor, and hopes the Supt. will do something for them.

2, 4,'70 #17 * | Association Baltimore, R. W. Janney Actuary | Baltimore Md. Feb. 1870 Forwards a/c $600.00 for materials and labor furnished by Jas. Gardner and others, in the improvement of building of Howard Normal School at Baltimore Md.

2, 9,'70 #18 * | Allen Joseph W. Teacher. | Pomonkey, Chas. Co. Md. January 1870 Encloses report for mo. of January. Wishes reports and envelopes, &c. and that after taking out [[underlined]] Mr Ballantyne's [[/underlined]] a/c, you will send the remainder of the money in our checks. Encloses receipt.

February 4th,1870 Acknowledges receipt of $10.00 and requests to have his monthly salary sent in future to 1641 Delmuth St. Philadelphia. States that the school house is too small, and the people wish to enlarge or build a new one. Inquires if the Bureau can aid them.

2,14,'70 #20 * | Association Baltimore. John Core, A. A. | Baltimore, Md. February 11th,'70 Desires the  amount of rental a/c forwarded, as they are entirely out of funds and the teachers are to be paid. Wishes immediate attention.

2,15,'70 #21 * | Anderson Cornelius | Philadelphia, Penn. February 12th,1870 States that he visited [[underlined]] Mr. Corson [[/underlined]] after his return home, and he desired him to remain until he hears from you (Supt.) Says that he was unaware of any infringement of the rules in leaving his school at the expiration of 3 mos., and is willing to return if you desire him. Wishes an immediate answer in relation to the matter.

January 16th, 1870 States that 'tis necessary to know how many are appointed already, which he will learn from report or list Mr. Crosby is to send him; that he is authorized to appoint but 40. Encloses letter of [[underlined]] O. V. Cutto [[/underlined]]
