4,26,'70 #40 * |Association Baltimore, John Core, Act. Acty. |Baltimore, Md. April 25th 1870. Requests he have their rental a/c paid as soon as possible to cable them to pay their teachers salaries. Fears that many of their schools will have to close this month in consequence of small attendance.

4,30'70 #41 * |Adams Geo. E. |Centerville, Queen Anne Co., Md. April 29th 1870. States in reply that he will see the trustees of Salem school, on the 30th inst., and will attend to the matter, &c.

April 29th 1870 States that David Ford, who is one of the Trustees, is trying to have her removed without cause. that nearly all the people who send children to school, wish her to remain: that Ford's object is to get possession of the house to hold meetings for the purpose of singing and shouting.

5,4,'70 #43 * |Awkware, Saml. |Barnesville, Montgomery Co., Md. May 2d, 1870. States that the Society by which their teacher is employed is about to withdraw her: that the people wish to have the school continued: thinks the number of pupils can be increased.
