Went to the Post Office, but could learn nothing of letter containing check in payment of salary for April. States that Mr. [[underlined]] Thompson, [[/underlined]] one of the trustees, expects to draw $22 10/100 which amount is due the school from the County. &c.

7.5.70. | 100 * Commission, Pa. Branch F. W. Col. R. R. Corson Cor. Secy | Philadelphia, Pa, July 2d 1870. Forwards check for $84. to cover amount due their Maryland teacher for June. 

7.20.70. | 101 * Clark, Miss E. T. Teacher | Philadelphia, Pa. July 19th 1870. Acknowledges receipt of duplicate check, and returns the original which she has just received &c.

8.11.70. | 102 * Commission, Pa. Branch F. W. Col. R. R. Corson Cor. Secy. | Philadelphia, Pa. Aug. 8th 1870. States that [[underlined]] John W. Adams [[/underlined]] (teacher), has not received his salary for May: that his address is 1641 Helmuth St. Philadelphia. Pa. 

8.10.70. | 103 * Cushings & Bailey Booksellers | Baltimore, Md. Aug. 3d 1870. Forward all reports of the of the Baltimore Association except one which cannot be found. Have written to Genl. [[underlined]] Howard [[/underlined]] and received reply from Genl. [[underlined]] Whittlesey [[/underlined]] that educational work in Maryland is finished.

Sept. 21st 70 # 105 * | Clark, E. T. File. P. L. B. "F" 36 | Philadelphia, Pa. September 17th 1870 Has had an interview with Col. R. L. Corson, Sec'y, &c., and he states that his assoc'n has given up the school in Maryland. Makes application for situation as teacher.
