May 26th 1870 States in reply, that she did not understand that she was required to gather a school of thirty pupils in order to draw salary from the Bureau, or she would not have taken the school. Inquires if her school is to close on the 3d of June. States that she has no means to pay her expenses home until she receives her salary.
