February 9th 1870 States that she arrived at this place on the 7th inst., and entered upon duty as assistant teacher: that [[underlined]] Mrs. Bond [[/underlined]] (white) had volunteered to assist until she came; that the whites are friendly to the school, &c. 

2, 16, '70 # 6 * | Grimkie Francis I. | Oxford, Chester Co., Penn February 14th 1870 States that he learned that the "Union Chapel school, Anne Arundel Co., is without a teacher, and recommends his brother to you as a young man who is earnest and anxious to teach. Says he is willing to go immediately, and at a salary of ($10.00) Ten Dollars.
