11,2,'70 #18 * | Harrison Chas. A.  Teacher. | Centerville, Queen Anne Co., Md.  March 31st 1870.  States that the school house is nearly completed:  that he will send the bill for lumber.  Inquires if the $200.00 promised by the Bureau is to be disbursed by the Trustees.  The carpenter must be paid at once, but the lumber merchant is willing to wait, &c.  Requests a school register.

5,7,'70 #19 * | Hill Andrew F.  Teacher. | Salem, Queen Anne Co., Md.  May 2d 1870.  Forwards school report.  States that his numbers of pupils have been small owing to the bad condition of the roads, &c. &c.

6.4.70. | 23 * Hemesly, James. | Baltimore, Md.  May 29th 1870.  Speaks of a school in Queen Anne County, Md. where the people want aid to support a teacher.  Most of the within is illegible.

6.23.70 | 24 * Hoy, Miss M.L.  Teacher | Prince Frederick, Calvert Co. Md.  June 1870.  Forwards five letters from persons competent to judge of her merits as a teacher, who state that she has attended to her duties faithfully, and has had a fine school, but has been neglected and abused by the trustees, &c.

6.24.70. | 26 * Hill, Andrew F.  Teacher | Centreville, Queen Anne Co. Md.  June 20th 1870.  Returns rental vouchers signed.  States that the work on school building is progressing rapidly:  that the lumber bill is nearly due, and the trustees would like to hear from the Supt.

6.28.70. | 27. * Harley, James | Lincoln University, Pa.  June 25th 1870.  States that he is one of four young men, (students of Lincoln University) who want situations to teach.  Inquires if there are any vacancies.
