1, 17, '70 #1 * | Perkins William | Chestertown Kent Co., Maryland January 12, 1870. States that he has sent four teachers by [[underlined]] Mrs. C. R. Sewell [[/underlined]] and provision has been made for them. [[underlined]] Isaac Payne, [[/underlined]] sent to Hanesville, [[underlined]] Sebastian Payne, [[/underlined]] sent to Rich Neck, Queen Ann's Co., [[underlined]] Mason Ball [[/underlined]] to Eddsville, [[underlined]] John H Jones, [[/underlined]] to Georgetown Kent Co. At these schools, desks, blackboards, registers and maps are needed.

1, 17, '70 #1 * | Parker Mary J. Teacher | Huntingtown, Calvert Do., Md. (Post Mark) Jany 17, 1870. Mentions receipt of letter, and states that school commenced Oct 10th '70, with 33 pupils, and they are doing well. Wishes Bureau Reports. 

1, 20, '70 #3 * | Rimbrook John | Centerville, Queen Ann's Co. Md. January 17th, 1870 States readiness to commence school houses at Centerville and Salem: that lumber for work can be gotten if Genl. Howard send the $200.00 promised for the above stated work. 

2, 4, '70 #4 * | Payne Geo. F. | Fairfield, St. Mary's Co. Md. February 1st, 1870. States the receipts of the Supt's letter relative to the school, and immediately there after called meeting of the residents and elected a new board of trustees, and the names are enclosed. Desires information as to procuring books from Baltimore on credit of the Bureau. Writes relative to other matters.
