will not hire nor lend them teams they husked out 175 barrels of corn for one man who was to hawl up their lumber but he hawled only two loads and would not hawl any mores since that time they hired another to hawl at 2 dollars a load but he made two loads out of two hundred bricks and in this way they have had much trouble. a man charged them one dollar for every pine tree they cut for sleepers I am trying to make some arrangements with them to put the House up at once and I think that will be done as soon as the weather moderates I will be at upper Marlboro, on Saturday but I think you need not write to me as I intend to come to Washington as soon as I can fill up the programme you laid down.
