prosperous and school well attended  Then I came down to Head of the Bay school house Miss Bell Teacher her school had just commenced and was not thoroughly organized but I saw a majority of the trustees and some of the leading ones who promised to do all they could to insure a good attendance and I think that school will get on well.  I then went to Lenardtown and saw Capt Lawrence who desired me to visit all the school houses and places below.  I then visited Miss Gould's school and found it in a prosperous condition.  I then went from there to Bellwood school Miss Lowell Teacher she is doing all she can but wants help to work on the hard material she has to deal with.  I held two meetings in that house but heavy rains both times we had a small attendance never the less we made a favourable impression and things will be better there.  I then went to Great Mills school Miss York Teacher that school is only tolerably well attended she seems to be very active and trying to do the best she can they want stirring up.  we had a meeting there but raining not many were out  the old people want
