Major Kimball
My Dear Sir

You will remember to have been introduced to me by Rev M. F. Stuby at our General Conference, at Isreal Church, Washington, when you stated that you was in need of several colored Teachers to supply openings in your field of operations.

Mrs Matilda Riker called on me a few evenings since and wished me to secure for her a situation as teacher I had none at my command but remembered that you stated your need of teachers and for her I write to state she is an experienced teacher from the North and is well recommended — such letters as I think you would be pleased with.

If you still need teachers will you drop Mrs R. a note care of Wm Bishop No 19 Hamilton Street Baltimore, Md.

She, besides, her letters refers you to Prof. Wm N. Day, Supt. of Schools for Maryland and Delaware. Rev N. N. Webb, Pastor of the ^[[insert]] Col. [[/insert]] Protestant Episcopal Church of this city & Assistant-Cashier of Freedmens Saving Bank Baltimore, Md.

Please let her hear from you as soon as this is received

Yours truly
