and got the men to getting out the sills and sleepers and will do all I can to get that House up as soon as possible. I have been looking after the House at Chaptico the sills is out and some of the sleepers and some lumber hawled up but there is some trouble about the land and I thought it best to notify Capt. A. A. Lawrence of the dificulty and as soon as that was fixed I will try and get that House up. I am here at this place to-day and have been with Col. John D. Bowling all the morning looking at some land. I expect to build a large substancial House here if it meets the approval of you and Dr. Wilmer he is pleased with the idea this is one of the most needy places in the state. I expect that the Dr. have written to you before this about this if so when he orders the material you will please send it by Col. Bowlding's vesel as every thing will come safe and he promises to help us and it will also save us of paying warfage. [[?]]
